Opening the Workflow Tab Bar
To open the Workflow Tab bar, in the top bar navigate to Window -> Kollmann Software -> Editor Tools -> Workflow Tabs and click on Open.
You can now put your editor in the workflow/state you want to save and create a new workflow tab (see below) to always be able to come back to it.
It is suggested to first create all the tabs you want to have and then open/select them (by clicking the button with their name in the Workflow Tab Bar) and putting the editor however you want it to be for all of them, so you don’t accidentally change something in the wrong tab.
Creating a new Workflow Tab
You can create a new Workflow Tab in two ways:
- Clicking the + New Button in the Workflow Tab bar
- Navigate to Window -> Kollmann Software -> Editor Tools -> Workflow Tabs and click Create New Tab
Deleting a Workflow Tab
To delete a Workflow Tab, go to the Project Window and navigate to Assets -> Kollmann Software -> WorkflowTabs -> Resources -> WorkflowTabs.
You can also open this folder by either:
- Navigating (In the top bar) to Window -> Kollmann Software -> Editor Tools -> Workflow Tabs and clicking on Open Tab Folder
- Right clicking on the Header of the Workflow Tab Bar and clicking on Open Tab Folder
There you can now delete the tabs you want. .
Can I switch between my workflows faster than clicking on its button?
YES! You can activate optional shortcuts to make it even faster.
Navigate to Window -> Kollmann Software -> Editor Tools -> Workflow Tabs -> Shortcuts and click Enable Shortcuts
Once the shortcuts are activated you can switch between your tabs by holding SHIFT and pressing a number between 1 and 9 on the number row of your keyboard.
This will then open the tab at the corresponding position (1 for the first, 2 for the second, and so on…).
If you want to disable this behavior navigate once again to Window -> Kollmann Software > Editor Tools -> Workflow Tabs -> Shortcuts and click Disable Shortcuts
Can I reorder my tabs?
YES!
Navigate to Assets -> Kollmann Software -> WorkflowTabs -> Resources -> WorkflowTabs in the project view.
Now you can click on the individual Tabs and assign a display order in you inspector. The tabs will be displayed from lowest to highest/left to right/top to bottom.
I made a change in my tab, that I don’t want to change, what do I do?
Before you change your tab, you can right click the Workflow Tab Bar EditorWindow and press Restore Current Tab, to reload the tab to its last save.
You can also do this by navigating to Window -> Kollmann Software -> Editor Tools -> Workflow Tabs in the top bar and pressing Restore Current
I don’t want my tab to save, when I open another tab
Navigate to Assets -> Kollmann Software -> WorkflowTabs -> Resources -> WorkflowTabs in the project view.
Now you can click on the individual Tabs and check, if they should be saved on a tab change, or not. If this is disabled, it will revert to its last save when reopened.
If you want to save it when this is disabled you can do so by:
- navigating to Window -> Kollmann Software -> Editor Tools -> Workflow Tabs in the top bar and pressing Save Current
- or by right clicking the Workflow Tab Bar EditorWindow and pressing Save Current Tab
